I qualified at the University of London in 1988 and joined The Harvey Practice in 1995. As a full time female GP, I enjoy working with children and Women's Health. I have two lovely daughters and my interests include skiing and sailing. |
Dr John Stephens
BM MRCP (UK) MRCP (Lond) MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFSRH
I qualified from the University of Southampton in 1986 and joined The Harvey Practice in 1995. I trained in both General Medicine and General Practice. I also work as a Hospital Practitioner at the GUM sexual health clinic at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and am involved in training new GPs and medical students. My non-medical interests include music particularly opera, skiing, sailing, Southampton FC and watching wildlife. |
Dr Sue Lawrence
Soton (1988) BM MRCGP
DFFP 1995 I qualified at the University of Southampton in 1988 and joined the Harvey Practice in 1997. Medically I enjoy children’s and women’s health. Out of surgery I am involved in family life supporting my two teenage sons, keeping fit cycling and in outdoor activities as much as possible. |
Dr A J Hussain
BM (2001) MRCGP DipDerm (Cardiff)
I completed my training at Southampton University in 2001 and joined the Harvey Practice in 2007. My medical interests include dermatology and I am a clinical assistant at Poole Hospital once a week. In addition to this the Practice offers a Specialist Minor Surgery service which I carry out at our Broadstone site once a month. My outside interests include skiing, walking and dabbling in baking cakes!! |
Dr Ben Todd 
BMedSci, BMBS, MRCGP I qualified at the University of Nottingham in 2008 and moved to Dorset in 2010 for my GP training. I joined The Harvey Practice in 2012 and became a Partner in 2016. I have a clinical interest in Diabetes and Palliative Care. I am now a GP Trainer and enjoy teaching the next generation of GPs. When not at the surgery, I enjoy classical music, walking in The Lake District and learning Spanish. |
Dr Annelise Locke

BM MRCGP DFSRH DRCOG I qualified from the University of Southampton in 2003 and joined the Harvey Practice as a part time Salaried GP in 2011. My professional areas of interest are Family Planning and Women's Health. In our time off my husband and I are kept on our toes by our toddler! We enjoy spending family time out and about especially at the beach. |
Dr Christina Hawkins BM MRCGP DFSRH I qualified from The University of Southampton in 2006 and have recently joined the Practice as a salaried GP in December 2016. I have particular interests in family medicine having recently completed my Diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Health. When I am not at work I like spending my time in the outdoors, in particular road bike cycling, sea swimming having taken part in triathlons and any kind of water sports. |

Dr Andy McIntosh BMBS MRCGP MRCP I qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2008 and, after a year in New Zealand, settled in Dorset in 2011. I joined the practice as a Salaried GP in July 2017. I will be conducting the weekly visits to Magna Care Centre and Forest Hill Nursing Home. In the free time that I do get, I enjoy running, golf and windsurfing on Poole Harbour. I also have three young children to run around after. |
Dr Sarah Batchelor I qualified from the University of Southampton in 2010. I joined The Harvey Practice as a Registrar on a 2 year part-time placement and was very pleased to be offered a Salaried GP role at the end of my registrar placement.
I have clinical interests in Elderly Medicine, Paediatrics and Women’s Health. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family and friends. |
