The Harvey Practice Statement of Purpose
The Harvey Practice operates out of two sites, one in Broadstone and one in Merley. It aims to provide holistic, personalised high quality primary healthcare to our patient population through consultations, examinations and treatment of medical conditions. We focus on prevention of disease by promoting healthy living. We try to understand and meet the needs of our patients, involving them in the decision making about their treatment and care, and encourage them to participate fully. We involve other professionals in the care of our patients when it is in the patients' best interests for example by referral for specialist investigation, care and advice. We also host various supportive services including Physiotherapy, Counselling and Podiatry at both sites. The community Nursing and Health Visiting teams use our premises as a base.
We will ensure that all members of the team have the right skills and training to carry out their duties competently. We will create an non-discriminatory, educational environment where staff promote and share learning amongst themselves, the partners and doctors in training.
The Practice aims to ensure high quality, safe and effective services in a high quality, safe and supportive environment.
