Dr Beth Davies

I qualified at the University of London in 1988 and joined The Harvey Practice in 1995.
As a full time female GP, I enjoy working with children and Women's Health.
I have two lovely daughters and my interests include skiing and sailing.
Dr John Stephens

I qualified from the University of Southampton in 1986 and joined The Harvey Practice in 1995.
I trained in both General Medicine and General Practice. I also work as a Hospital Practitioner at the GUM sexual health clinic at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and am involved in training new GPs and medical students.
My non-medical interests include music particularly opera, skiing, sailing, Southampton FC and watching wildlife.

I qualified at the University of Southampton in 1988 and joined the Harvey Practice in 1997.
Medically I enjoy children’s and women’s health.
Out of surgery I am involved in family life supporting my two teenage sons, keeping fit cycling and in outdoor activities as much as possible.
Dr A J Hussain

I completed my training at Southampton University in 2001 and joined the Harvey Practice in 2007.
My medical interests include dermatology and I am a clinical assistant at Poole Hospital once a week. In addition to this the Practice offers a Specialist Minor Surgery service which I carry out at our Broadstone site once a month.
My outside interests include skiing, walking and dabbling in baking cakes!!
Dr Ben Todd
BMedSci, BMBS, MRCGP
I qualified at the University of Nottingham in 2008 and moved to Dorset in 2010 for my GP training. I joined The Harvey Practice in 2012 and became a Partner in 2016. I have a clinical interest in Diabetes and Palliative Care. I am now a GP Trainer and enjoy teaching the next generation of GPs.
When not at the surgery, I enjoy classical music, walking in The Lake District and learning Spanish.
Dr Annelise Locke

I qualified from the University of Southampton in 2003 and joined the Harvey Practice as a part time Salaried GP in 2011 and then became a partner in 2017.
My professional areas of interest are Family Planning and Women's Health.
In our time off my husband and I are kept on our toes by our two children! We enjoy spending family time out and about especially at the beach.
Dr Christina Hawkins

I qualified from The University of Southampton in 2006 and have joined the Practice as a salaried GP in December 2016, I became a partner in 2018.
I have particular interests in family medicine having recently completed my Diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Health.
When I am not at work I like spending my time outdoors, in particular road bike cycling, sea swimming having taken part in triathlons.

Dr Andy McIntosh

I qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2008 and, after a year in New Zealand, settled in Dorset in 2011. I joined the practice as a Salaried GP in July 2017.
I will be conducting the weekly visits to Magna Care Centre and Forest Hill Nursing Home.
In the free time that I do get, I enjoy running, golf and windsurfing on Poole Harbour. I also have three young children to run around after.
Dr Sarah Batchelor

I qualified from the University of Southampton in 2010. I joined The Harvey Practice as a Registrar on a 2 year part-time placement and was very pleased to be offered a Salaried GP role at the end of my registrar placement.
I have clinical interests in Elderly Medicine, Paediatrics and Women’s Health.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family and friends.
Dr Sarah Maiden

I qualified from the University of Southampton in 2014 and joined The Harvey Practice as a Registrar in 2018. I was very happy to then stay on as a Salaried GP following the end of my Registrar year.
Medically I like Elderly Medicine and Palliative Care.
When I am not at work, I enjoy the beach and spending time with family and friends

Dr Nicola Hawes
MBBS BSc (Hons)
I qualified from Newcastle University in 2013, and joined the Harvey Practice as a GP Registrar in 2020.
I have a particular interest in Obesity and Weight Management, and am currently undertaking a Post-Graduate Diploma in this area.
In my time off, I am kept busy by my two young daughters! I also enjoy weight training in the gym and competing in StrongGirl competitions.

Dr Vanathi Gopalaswamy

I qualified from Sri Ramachandra university in India in 2006 and joined the Harvey Practice as a GP registrar in 2020.
Medically I am interested in women’s health and I am planning to undertake a diploma in this area.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and am kept busy by my son.

I qualified from Kings College London in 2018 but came back to Poole for my training and joined the Harvey Practice as a registrar in 2020.
I have a particular interest in ENT and women’s health.
In my spare time I enjoy water sports and have recently taken up kite surfing.
